University of Toronto Mentorship
As part of the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science (my alma mater), I currently serve as a mentor to two undergraduate computer science students. As an undergraduate I was constantly trying to figure out if I was headed on the "right" track. As a mentor, I want to be able to provide support to my mentees with the information that I did not have when I was in school. Whether it's grabbing a coffee to talk about the industry or taking the time out to review their resume, it's important to be available.
Arbor Award
On October 15, 2018, I was humbled and honoured to receive the prestigious Arbor Award from the University of Toronto for my volunteer work with the Department of Computer Science.
